Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO)
Ms. Hong Miller began serving as the Army Futures Command (AFC) Chief Human Capital Officer (CHCO) in December 2022. In this capacity, she is responsible for supporting the Commanding General, AFC with the synchronization, development and oversight of all things people including Civilian and Military personnel plans, policies and programs that affect AFC employees worldwide. The CHCO portfolio spans the full spectrum of the human capital life-cycle, to include performance management, strategic workforce and succession planning, leader development, and talent acquisition, development and sustainment of a trained and ready workforce, senior executive management, military programs, and human resources (HR) policies. The CHCO is responsible for Army transformation efforts and supports the DCG and DtCG in execution of their assigned areas of responsibilities. Ms. Miller’s Federal service spans over 34 years with the Department of Defense. Previous assignments include Director, Civilian Human Resource Agency (CHRA), Deputy Director, CHRA, Director of the Defense Logistics Agency’s Human Resources Services and Director of the Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service’s Employment and Compensation Line of Business.
